# Frequently asked questions about membo.app

## How much does membo.app cost?

There is no subscription. The club pays a 2.5% platform fee on every membership fee collected online, plus Stripe's payment fees at cost, depending on country and payment method. Free memberships, manually added members and free events cost nothing.

## Where does the money go?

Directly to the club's Stripe account, then to its bank account. membo.app never holds the funds.

## Do we need a Stripe account?

The club creates its Stripe account from membo.app in a few minutes, following the identification Stripe requires (association statutes, ID of the representative). Card payments are often possible the next day.

## Which payment methods are accepted?

Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, TWINT for Swiss clubs, and the local payment methods of the club's country enabled by Stripe, for instance iDEAL in the Netherlands, Bancontact in Belgium or MobilePay in Denmark and Finland. The full list, by country, is at [stripe.com/payment-methods](https://stripe.com/payment-methods). Deferred or credit payments are not offered. Some local methods carry a fixed provider fee, billed to the club at cost, such as MobilePay for an association established in Denmark.

## Do members need to install an app?

No. The card is added to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, already on their phones. Without a Wallet, a web card opens in the browser.

## What happens when a membership expires?

The card stays on the phone but turns grey with "Expired" and a renewal link. The member received reminders before and after the due date.

## Can we import existing members?

Yes, from a CSV file with their membership end date. They receive their card without paying again.

## Can several people manage the club?

Yes. The owner invites administrators, with full access or access limited to some scopes (members, finances, events, communication, access control), view or edit, with an end date if needed.

## Which languages?

French, English, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, for the dashboard, public pages, cards and emails.

## Where is the data hosted?

In Switzerland, in Zurich. membo.app is published by TrueWind Speed Sàrl, Switzerland.

## Can we manage events?

Yes: free or paid events, tickets, invitations to members and non-members, attendance, share visuals for social networks.

## How do we cancel?

There is no commitment. The club can stop using membo.app at any time and export its members.
