# Membership fees, joining and renewal

## Tiers

The club defines as many tiers as it wants: annual, half-yearly, monthly, junior, family, student, honorary member, lifetime. Each tier has its price, its duration (from one month to unlimited), and its access mode: open to all, on application, invitation only, or by referral. Prices can be shown per period or per month.

## Joining online

The member opens the club's payment page, picks a tier, enters first name, last name and email, and pays by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or TWINT. They receive their membership card immediately. A family can use the same email for several members.

## One-time payment or automatic renewal

The club chooses what it offers:

- **Automatic by default** (recommended): automatic renewal is preselected, the member can choose one-time payment.
- **Automatic only**: every membership renews automatically.
- **One-time by default**: one-time payment is preselected, automatic remains possible.
- **One-time only**: no automatic renewal.

With automatic renewal, the member is emailed before each charge and can stop it at any time from their card or their space.

## Before and after the due date

- Reminder emails before the due date, then after if nothing happens, in the member's language.
- The card turns grey on the expiry day, with a one-click renewal link.
- Early renewal extends the membership from the current end date: the member loses no day.
- A member can change tier during the year, with a pro rata computed by membo.app.

## Promo codes, referrals, invitations

- Promo codes in percent or amount, limited in time or in uses, for one tier or all.
- Member referrals: every member has their link, the club sees who brought whom.
- Invitations: the club invites one person or a list by email, with a reserved tier.

## Existing members

The club imports its current members from a CSV file with their membership end date. They receive their card without paying again, and renew at their normal due date.
